Hello, I have been trying to install quantumstep DR7 on my sl-c3200,
but without success.

I have 40Mb available on flash, and this is where I would like to
install quantumstep.

Whatever I do however, I get an error that there is not enough space.
It seems that when the installer detects hdd3, it only tries to
install on hdd2, which is a very small ext2 partition with not enough
space...

I have tried to install to SD using ln -s /mnt/card /home/myPDA, but
it seems that when sl-c3000 (or 3200) is detected, this is re-linked
to hdd2.

What should I do to install on internal flash, or SD?

The issue is that it must be installed on an ext2 partition and hdd3

Therefore it tries other locations.

What you can do is to install it manually. The .mypkg file is a tar
+gz archive.

Do as root:

cd destination
tar xvzf QuantumSTEP.mypkg

Then, you must unpack the .ipk and also uncompress the components.  
There is a data.tgz and a control.tgz.

Unpack the data.tgz.

Run the postinst script from the control.tgz This should fix some  
access permissions of QuantumSTEP
