After we have got some more subscribers on this list - welcome! - I
think it is time to trigger some discussions here.

One question I want to raise for discussion is where mySTEP /
QuantumSTEP should go in your view.

My view is:
* mySTEP is the open source *Phone Application Platform (replace * by
whatever phone you like)
* it uses MacOS X and the development tools to make application
software development as easy as on any Mac
* but it is not tied to Apple hardware, rather is focussed on ARM/
Linux/X11 based handhelds
* therefore it should include specific kernels
* QuantumSTEP adds an Application Suite that includes fully compatible
PIM tools (e.g. Addresses, Dates, ...) which can be 100% synced with a
Mac Desktop or *Book

Please feel free to open new topics, ask for help and answers etc.

I don't think you have many options here.

I understand then that QuantumSTEP is the real value added for the end
user. Will they be closed or open source? A mix? Open frameworks and
closed applications?
Will they have a mac counterpart? Or even a GNUstep counterpart?
You can think of a global decision or decide from application to
application what is best.
