How to declare WCAP calendars and other calendars related from a script or autoconfig(mcd) ?

Hi All
I try to automatically declare a WCAP calendar account into Lightning
and to make appear all the related subscribed.calendars.
User already has a WCAP Calendar and possibly also subscribtions to
others WCAP calendars.
When one creates manually this kind of calendar, the main WCAP
calendar appears and all others subscribed calendars arrive in the

after quite some build-system related difficulties, we have finally
succeeded in building Sunbird 1.0b1rc1. Please download and test it
within the next 2 weeks, if no critical errors show up this will

George, this does sound like a good idea to me, and definitely something
that should improve the Calendar project. Looks like bug 388926, which
covers it, is stalled waiting for a decision (from the patch-writer?)
whether this specific header is necessary (as there's another header
that's already checked). So you could perhaps add your two cents in

My company makes a web calendar that supports iCal feeds.
Lately, we've been getting pounded by of all things iPhones. It seems
they're mostly set to refresh their calendar subscription about every 20
minutes. For our hosted service, 20% of our bandwidth usage is now iCal
feed subscriptions.

Thunderbird is now string and code frozen for 3.1b1. All patches that
affect Thunderbird must have explicit approval to land from dmose or myself.
The freeze covers all Thunderbird affecting parts of comm-central (i.e.
not SeaMonkey, Calendar or test-only files).
We're expecting to cut the release and start the builds next Tuesday.
