Subject: [wildlands-l] URGENT UPDATE: An outdated Mining Act trumps all in Ontario

CPAWS Wildlands LeagueThe Ardoch Algonquins are being forced to
accept uranium drilling by the courts. Bob Lovelace, a Queen's University
Professor and Retired Algonquin Chief was sentenced to 6 months in jail and
fined $25,000. The people of KI will be sentenced next on March 17th for
trying to protect their lands from platinum drilling in the Boreal
Forest. The jailing of peaceful and concerned residents is inconsistent with
a vibrant democratic society. This all could have been avoided. It's time
for Premier McGuinty to step in and repair Ontario's damaged
reputation.URGENT UPDATE
