Dear all,
we are happy to announce that we have published a new snapshot of the mySTEP frameworks.
This snapshot updates the SDK (which you need to develop QuantumSTEP applications on your Mac), the mySTEP Source code (which you need only if you want to compile the SDK yourself), and a Test Drive package that demonstrates some of the QuantumSTEP applications running on the Mac.
What is new?
======================================
this is mainly a bug fix and speed optimization release addressing
- menu system
- scrolling
- autolayout of views and windows
SDK: mySTEP-SDK-2.4B678.tgz
======================================
With the SDK, you can easily and direclty build applications for QuantumSTEP on your Mac.
How to use the SDK:
1. make sure you have installed Xcode, Apple X11 (incl. X11 SDK) and Xtoolchain
2. download http://www.quantum-step.com/download/SDK/mySTEP-SDK-2.4B678.tgz
3. unpack to your home directory. It will create $HOME/Documents/Projects/QuantumSTEP ( cd $HOME; tar xvzf package.tgz )
4. in Xcode open a new (or existing) project
5. add a Shell Script Build Phase to your target(s)
6. insert and adapt the configuration script you can copy and paste from http://www.quantum-step.com/download/sources/mySTEP/mySTEP.make
7. Build - this will in a first step create a MacOS X bundle and then insert the cross-compiled QuantumSTEP binaries

The latest source code package is available for download from http://www.quantum-step.com/download/source/mySTEP-src-2.4B678.tgz
Unpack to $HOME/Documents/Projects/QuantumSTEP/System/Sources/Frameworks.
You can also directly inspect the sources file-by-file through the Web at http://www.quantum-step.com/download/sources/mySTEP Changes are described in http://www.quantum-step.com/download/sources/mySTEP/HISTORY.rtf
If you want to identify what has changed in detail: just download two different releases, unpack into separate directories and do a diff.
Test Drive: QuantumSTEP-TestDrive-DR9B678.tgz
======================================
We have also updated the Test Drive package that allows you to try some of the applications on your Mac (directly using the Apple Cocoa frameworks):
